Our Story

B&W Disposal Inc. was founded by Dick Witmer and Bill Bower. At the time of the company's founding, plastic bags were barely in circulation and most customers simply placed all of their garbage in a metal can. The accumulation of waste in this repository without any separating medium made for quite unpleasant smelling cans as garbage juices inevitably congregated at the bottom. To address this issue, entrepreneurs Dick and Bill devised a 'clean can-washing' machine. Each week, customers would turn in their smelly can and receive a newly washed can in exchange. The company acquired many customers in the local area as a result of this unique benefit. B&W has now been in business for over 50 years and is still family run.
