ILvA.

ILvA is the intermunicipal partnership for the environment of Land van Aalst. In the past, such a partnership between municipalities was called an “intermunicipal company”.

15 cities and municipalities are part of ILvA. IVBO and IVM are also shareholders.

These cities and municipalities have joined forces to collect household waste at home and to organize the operation of 15 recycling centers. The collection method, sorting rules and rates are the same in all these municipalities.

ILvA is located in Erembodegem (a sub-municipality of Aalst), where the transhipment of the various types of waste takes place. There is also a composting installation, where all organic waste is taken.
