Recybel is the union of 3 manufacturers with different activities around a common vision

Recybel concretizes the reflection of 3 industrialists in the recycling of waste, the reduction of CO₂ emissions and the saving of natural resources.

From the beginning of the 1990s, cement manufacturers CBB and CBR wanted to save the natural raw materials used in the manufacture of cement by replacing them with alternative products.

Engie Electrabel produced fly ash in its coal-fired power stations.

For safety and sustainable development reasons, Engie must find outlets for the slag heaps in order to rehabilitate the sites.
Fly ash contains one of the essential elements in the manufacture of cement: alumina (Al²O³).
The three companies are determined to align their activities with the sustainable development objectives and the principles of the circular economy.
