Arc Metal AB was formed in 1993. The company was formed from a collaboration between Catalyst Recycling in Sweden AB and ScanArc Plasma Technologies. Since then, Arc Metal has recovered platinum, palladium and rhodium from various raw materials. Through continuous process development, the company has become a world leader in extracting precious metals from low-quality materials. Through a smelting process, the precious metals are separated from the slag, the result is a pure slag without precious metals and an enriched metal alloy containing all precious metals. Arc Metal does not extract and handle pure precious metals, but the produced alloy is sent on for further processing.
