Northeast waste EIM, encompasses the municipalities of Alfândega da Fé, Bragança, Carrazeda de Ansiães, Freixo de Espada à Cinta, Macedo de Cavaleiros, Miranda do Douro, Mirandela, Mogadouro, Torre de Moncorvo, Vila Flor, Vila Nova de Foz Côa, Vimioso and Vinhais. These municipalities represent 143,777 inhabitants and an estimated waste production of 140 tons/day or 50,000 tons/year.

Management of contracts for the provision of services for the undifferentiated collection of urban waste and urban cleaning of the municipalities that make up the Associations of Municipalities of Terra Quente Transmontana, Terra Fria do Nordeste Transmontano, and for the provision of selective collection services for the municipalities that are part of the Association of Municipalities of Terra Fria do Nordeste Transmontano.

Management of selective collection and eco-centers in the municipalities that make up the Association of Municipalities of Terra Quente Transmontana and Douro Superior, and of the sorting of waste from the selective collection of all municipalities that make up Waste in the Northeast.

Management of the contract for the provision of services related to the Mechanical and Biological Treatment Unit, which encompasses the activities of treatment and recovery of waste from all the municipalities that make up the Resíduos do Nordeste.

Management of the sanitary landfill that integrates the activity of disposal of non-hazardous waste from all municipalities that are part of Resíduos do Nordeste.
