GB Recycling

Hi, I'm Grant Bischoff, the owner of GB Recycling.

I was born and raised right here in Bardstown, Kentucky, and now I am a student at the University of Kentucky. My passion for entrepreneurship and the outdoors led me to start GB Recycling.

My goal is to keep Bardstown, and the Earth, beautiful. I genuinely believe that through consistent recycling, smart waste disposal, and environmental advocacy, we can make the world a better place.

WHY IS RECYCLING IMPORTANT?

When you transform something old into something new by recycling it, the environment benefits in a number of ways. For example, materials and natural resources aren’t wasted, energy is saved during the manufacturing process, there’s less waste going to landfills, and it helps keep wildlife safe.

Every year, the United States generates approximately 230 million tons of 'trash'--about 4.6 pounds per person per day. Less than one-quarter of it is recycled; the rest is incinerated or buried in landfills. This carelessness with our unwanted items must end if we want to save the Earth.

We can all make a difference by practicing proper recycling. As the County of Arlington Virginia Trash and Recycling site says, “Recyclables are collected locally, but impacted globally.”
