On January 1, 1995, the Karlskoga Energi & Miljö Group was formed. This included Karlskoga Energi & Miljö AB, which was the parent company of the three subsidiaries Karlskoga Elnät AB, Karlskoga Kraftvärmeverk AB and Karlskoga Miljö AB. The group took over the entire fee-financed business that Karlskoga municipality previously ran as a municipal administration.
We offer electricity networks and electricity contracts, lighting, water and sewage, waste management and recycling, district heating and steam, fiber via the city network and biogas. We also produce electricity locally in small-scale hydropower plants.
