Eco-Rom

Eco-Rom Ambalaje is the first profile organization , established in 2003 in order to meet the objectives of recycling and recovery of packaging waste on behalf of the responsible companies that introduce packaged products on the national market. The founders, initiators of the implementation of the economic instrument on extended producer responsibility in Romania, are among the most important producers and importers of packaged products, namely: Argus, Chipita Romania, Coca-Cola HBC Romania, Heineken Romania, Quadrant Amroq Beverages, Mars Romania , Munplast, Tetra Pak Romania, Maspex Romania, Unilever South Central Europe, Ursus Breweries and Bergenbier SA.

Through the transfer of responsibility mechanism, for over 15 years , Eco-Rom Ambalaje has been fulfilling a mission of public interest, thus contributing to the protection of the environment and the achievement of the national objectives set by the relevant European Directives. This system is similar to those implemented at EU level and brings important economic, social and environmental benefits by mobilizing significant amounts of packaging waste for recycling.
