De Coster's story begins in 1979 with moving mountains. Literally then. Because then Dominique De Coster started as an independent earthworker. A sole proprietorship, as is often the case in the beginning.

Ten years later, the first employees were employed. This was followed by a careful expansion to foundation techniques with the installation of a Berlin wall.

That was the seed for the total package that we offer today.

Although that was not a conscious choice at the time. Rather a result of our impatience. Waiting is not in our blood. That's why we keep expanding our activities so that we can set the pace ourselves and others can't hold us back.
