Bjorstaddalen Avfallsanlegg AS

Bjorstaddalen Avfallsanlegg AS is a holding company with the subsidiaries Bjorstaddalen Næring AS and Bjorstaddalen Husholdning AS . The company is wholly owned by Skien municipality.

Bjorstaddalen is located south-west in Skien municipality in Vestfold and Telemark county.

A short distance to both the port of Grenland and the E18 between Oslo and Kristiansand makes the facility attractive to more than the business community in Grenland.

Bjorstaddalen waste facility was opened in 1993 after 15 years of case processing and two years of construction time.

Initial investment was 62 million. The plant was operated by Skien municipality until the autumn of 2014 when it was spun off as a limited company.
