The company VAS sro was founded in 1993 and is registered in the Commercial Register of OS in Žilina, dept. Ltd., insert number 1232 / L. In r. 1993 VAS sro privatized AKP š.p. (Sanitation rendering plant), which was the successor of the Veterinary Sanitation Institute built in 1968. The main focus of the company is the collection, transport and disposal of animal by-products, ie. protection of animal health, population and territory of the Slovak Republic against diseases. VAS sro is the only rendering plant in Slovakia that processes all animal by-products, ie material of categories 1, 2 and 3.
