HERSAND SAS
3, rue d’Ableval Z.I , Sarcelles , Ile-de-France, France | Textile Recycling
History
In 1976, the year the company was created, Serge and Jacqueline Sztarkman decided to go into the thrift store by collecting, upgrading and reselling second-hand clothes. They set up Hersand in a 4000 m² warehouse in Sarcelles.
In 1987, the company took a stake in Delaisy-Kargo, a company specializing in the trading of hygiene consumables.
In 2004, the founders handed over the management to their two sons, Hervé and Alexandre. Each one takes care of a sector: the second-hand store goes to Alexandre, the hygiene consumables trade to Hervé.
In 2005, Hersand decided to set up in Tunisia and open a 15,000 m² factory there. This allows the company to significantly increase textile reprocessing capacities.
