The company OZO Ostrava sro was established from the former budget organization TAZSMO Ostrava and its history dates back to 1949. Technical and garden services of the city of Ostrava provided collection and landfilling of waste from the city and surrounding municipalities and performed all garden and landscaping for the city of Ostrava. After 1990, the budgetary organization for household waste management was transformed into a contributory organization and later, as of June 30, 1995, into a limited liability company. The abbreviation OZO in the name of the company means the removal and processing of waste.
