The Junkluggers of Fairfield & Westchester Counties was started in 2006 when Josh Cohen decided to create a junk removal company that could combine his love of environmental sustainability with convenient, hassle-free service. It was a recipe for success and over 15 years we’ve grown quickly and dramatically. The Junkluggers of Fairfield & Westchester Counties is now a leading junk removal contractor in Fairfield & Westchester Counties and part of a massively expanding network of like-minded junk removal companies.

What sets us apart?

While there are many junk removal companies, all too many of them are happy to merely dump your junk into the nearest landfill. Here at The Junkluggers of Fairfield & Westchester Counties we seek to help home and business owners while also doing our part to help the environment and our local community.

That’s why we set out to donate, recycle, or upcycle every item that we possibly can so you can rest assured that your junk is going to a good cause. We can even provide you with the receipts for potential tax benefits later!

Our Owner

Josh's idea for his eco-friendly junk removal business began in 2004 when he was a 21 year old student at the University of Connecticut. Equipped with a stack of homemade flyers and his Mom's SUV, his mission was to take any unnecessary junk off neighbors' hands and deliver it to local donation centers and recycling facilities, keeping as much out of landfills as possible. Since the beginning, he has united his passion for environmental sustainability with one simple consumer benefit: Convenience.

Over the past 15 years, as founder and CEO of The Junkluggers, Josh has built a successful national franchise brand and company culture by teaming up with like-minded and highly motivated partners who all share the same mission: to enhance lives, communities, and the environment through donating, recycling, upcycling, and supporting local charities.
