Datarec was established in 1993 by Alpabern AG (subsidiary of the Barec Group) together with Securitas AG. Integrated in a widely supported prominent recycling corporation, Datarec developed within 20 years into Switzerland's market leader for document and data destruction. Five locations with a dedicated shredding facility, 23 security vehicles and around 18,000 security containers in circulation with a barcode system – these are the key parameters of a company which has made top-level confidentiality and security its corporate philosophy.
