The sustainable scrapping of ships that have exhausted their operational life is, together with the reduction of atmospheric emissions, one of the two great sustainability challenges facing the maritime sector. Both have already deserved the attention of the most important regulatory organizations to try to solve current problems: The UN, through the International Maritime Organization (Hong Kong Convention) and the European Commission (EU Regulation 1257/2013, relative to the Recycling of Ships). It is in this regulatory framework where our organization operates with the maximum guarantees, offering a comprehensive service in accordance with the needs of any shipowner.

Installation

Logiscrap SL, owns its facility for Ship Recycling in the Port of La Luz and Las Palmas, on the island of Gran Canaria. Complying with the legal provisions on ship recycling, our facility complies with the provisions of Regulation 1257/2013 and the Hong Kong Convention on the requirements for an installation authorized and registered by the European Union.
