Since 1979, Mr. Helmut Schweiger and Mrs. Kornelia Schweiger have been involved in secondary raw materials trading.

The Helmut Schweiger GmbH was founded in 1998, shortly after the establishment, operations began at our current location in Lannach.

Helmut Schweiger GmbH has been operating an operating facility in Lannach since 1999 which is used for the collection, interim storage and treatment of scrap iron and non-ferrous metals, as well as for the interim storage of non-hazardous waste.

From the beginning, the processing and sorting of scrap iron was carried out according to Central European quality standards. In addition, a mechanical processing plant for insulated composite materials (copper and aluminum cables) was installed. The aim of this processing plant is to create granules for material recycling.

The processing plant for insulated composites was continuously developed and was expanded in 2010 to include a second processing line for composites.
