GesPaRec

Adenauerallee 55, Bonn, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany | Paper Recycling

The Gesellschaft für Papierrecycling (GesPaRec) was originally founded to set up a private waste paper collection and recycling system. In the meantime, GesPaRec focuses on three core tasks:

Working Group on Graphic Papers (AGRAPA)

European Recovered Paper Information System (ERPIS)

Quality management for waste paper (QMAP)

The overriding goal is to improve the framework conditions for paper recycling and the use of waste paper in the paper industry. In this context, GesPaRec works closely with the Verband Deutscher Papierfabriken eV (VDP).

A prerequisite for optimizing the availability of recovered paper for paper production is a further increase in the collection of recovered paper. For this purpose, GesPaRec works closely with the associations of waste paper suppliers and the bodies that are obliged to dispose of them. The relevant model tests by the Working Group on Graphic Papers (AGRAPA) should be mentioned as an example. In addition to increasing the collection of waste paper, the priority of the material use of waste paper is of fundamental importance in the area of the political framework for paper recycling.

In addition to these quantitative aspects, GesPaRec is committed to improving the quality of recovered paper. For example, she coordinates issues relating to quality management for recovered paper for the paper industry. 'Workshops' on quality management for recovered paper are also organized for employees from the paper industry and AP supplier companies.
