Duesenfeld GmbH
Rothbergstraße 8, Wendeburg, Niedersachsen [Lower Saxony], Germany | Battery Recycling
Duesenfeld combines mechanical and thermodynamic processes rather than using conventional battery melting, pyrolysis or heating. Duesenfeld's recycling process requires less energy, recovers more raw materials and produces no fumes.
Raw material extraction with the Duesenfeld recycling process saves up to 4.8 tonnes of CO2 per tonne of recycled batteries compared with the extraction of the materials from natural sources.
Unlike with pyrometallurgical processes, the Duesenfeld recycling process means that raw materials do not need to be sent for permanent disposal as construction materials in abandoned mineshafts.
In contrast to pyrometallurgical processes, the electrolyte recovery method employed in the Duesenfeld recycling process does not produce toxic fluorine compounds that then have to undergo energy-consuming post-combustion and washing.
