Benfield Sanitation Services was founded in 1958 by James Benfield and turned over in 1988 to his son, Jeff Benfield. BSS started as one man and one truck doing residential pickup in Iredell County and today has grown to over 100 employees with operations in 10 counties and 38 cities. Celebrating more than 60 years of continuous and dedicated solid waste service says a lot about who we are.
