July 25, 1994 - Burkhardt excavator company founded
In 1994, Mr. René Burkhardt saw starting self-employment as an alternative to unemployment.
His idea was to provide services on his own account for surrounding companies by renting an excavator.
The good order situation enabled Mr. René Burkhardt to buy his first own Liebherr A900 excavator as early as 1995.
The positive trend in terms of demand continued, which among other things enabled an expansion of the workforce and investments from the funds generated.
In 2001, Mr. René Burkhardt bought the former Thonhausen concrete plant in order to convert it into a depot with an office and a company apartment.
Furthermore, in the same year, the sole proprietorship Baggerbetrieb Burkhardt was split up under the aspect of the separation of excavator and transport services.
