Sale of coal and liquid fuels

It was in 1958 that Jean-Pierre Soret founded the Soret company in Hoeilaart, in the heart of the famous grape region. At the time, Soret could in fact be called upon for everything that was directly or indirectly linked to the  cultivation of grapes  : from packaging materials to manure, including fuels used to heat greenhouses. The demand for  coal  continued to grow and this sector has become our main activity. Shortly after our founding, we added the supply of  liquid fuels  to our business. Since then the demand for coal has disappeared and our activity has been fully focused on the supply of liquid fuels. This last sector is still an important pillar of the company.

A second branch has opened its doors along the Namur-Brussels railway line, near Groenendael station. Our unique location and our significant storage capacity  have enabled us to rise to the rank of value duly established in Brussels and its surroundings. 

Container rental

A new branch of operation was added at the beginning of the 1980s: container rental. Following the acquisition of a container truck to supply our customers with coal, we have indeed very quickly established the link with the container sector. This activity generated  enormous growth  and led in 1999 to the relocation of the sorting center and offices - with the exception of the Hoeilaart head office - to a  brand new sorting center in Nivelles , a central site between Brussels and the provinces of Hainaut, Flemish Brabant and Walloon Brabant. This is where we have been  sorting and transforming  the collected waste since then in order to give it a  second life.. Individuals, small self-employed people and large companies can entrust their waste there.

Soret continued to grow and new activities were added: for example, we transform green waste into compost and potting soil . In our sorting center , we also crush and sift  rubble  so that it can be reused, for example as foundation material for road construction. We also ensure the safe collection of  bound asbestos waste.

Sustainable and ecological solutions

The year 2019 will be synonymous with many innovations. A new sorting line, powered by 1,000 solar panels, will ensure that sorting is as fast as it is pure. By transforming different types of waste into new raw materials, we  give a second life to 98.88% of your waste!

Today, the Soret company is managed by  Marc Soret , his wife  Christel Debrouwer,  their son  Maxim Soret and Stephanie De Clercq. This  family business  has been at your service for more than 35 years for the transformation of your waste. We are constantly investing in  sustainable and ecological solutions. Our offices, as well as our entire Nivelles site, are, for example, equipped with environmentally friendly LED lighting.
