Story

From the beginning

1978

Founding of the company

First in Dinklage and a short time later in Lohne / Brockdorf an der Zerhusener Straße, Franz Burwinkel set up his own company.

1983

And Franz Burwinkel remains a technician and tinkerer. As a passionate hobby pilot, he pursues the idea of ​​designing and building plastic powered aircraft in Brockdorf. His “crazy idea” fails, but remains as a mental goal.

1985

Relocation to Mühlen / Steinfeld

In 1985 his company moved to Steinfeld / Mühlen.

1988

1st extension

Two more halls (hall 3, 4) for production and storage will be built.

1994

2nd extension

Due to the increased demand, two more halls have to be built (Halls 5, 6).

1996

Dipl.-Wirtsch.-Ing. Martin Burwinkel has been running the company in Mühlen together with his father Franz since 1996.

1997

Burwinkel introduces a quality management system that corresponds to DIN EN ISO 9001, confirmed by DQS GmbH.

2000

3rd extension

The foundation stone for hall 7 and 8 is laid.

2002

Brinkmann mold making

Founding of the company Brinkmann Formenbau GmbH in Mühlen. Takeover of the employees of Melz Werkzeugbau.

2004

4th extension

The capacities have to be increased again. Three halls will be built (Hall 9, 10, 11). The Warsawsky company is taken over.

EFTEX

The second son Jens Burwinkel and his plastics company EFTEX moved into the building of the former Warsawsky company on Landwehrstrasse in Lohne in 2004.

2010

5. Extension

Two more halls will be built at Kötterhof 2 (Hall 12, 13)

Two more halls will be built at Kötterhof 4 (Hall 14, 15)

Company founder Franz Burwinkel dies at the age of 70

Production in hall 15 starts operation.
