MHH Contracting

Established 35 years ago, we have displayed steadily maintained increases in turnover and associated profit through our entire trading history, leaving employees, suppliers and clients safe in the knowledge of our ability for sustainable delivery.

Our MD hailed from farming stock, establishing MHH Contracting in 1986, and initially operating the company as a tipping business. However he soon saw the opportunities afforded by reprocessing waste and its recovery and reuse, thus expanding the company to become a local leader in waste recycling and allied industries.

Since those early days we have grown through solely organic methods, widening our scope of operations considerably to allow us to operate within a varied gambit of other associated industries, predominantly these consist of demolition and dismantling, haulage, plant and equipment hire, bulk earthworks, excavations, ground works, site remediation, land development, decommissioning, security services, skip and container hire, asbestos removal, materials and aggregates processing.

We have operated within the same family shareholding and directorship structure since 1986, however the second generation are now also heavily involved at managerial and operational levels. Their input provides us with a keen, sharp additional dimension to the approach and mindset of the organisation.

This is a truly local firm who are proud to have been born in Sheffield, but who are now relishing the opportunity to undertake increasingly complex contracts throughout Yorkshire, Lancashire, Derbyshire, Midlands, Leicestershire and Tynemouth, with these projects providing exciting new opportunities for both the company and the indiviudals behind us.
