Established in 1973, Hawes Group is an award-winning, family-owned business that has become the leading waste-management provider in Buckinghamshire and the surrounding area. We offer unrivalled quality in Skip Hire and Plant & Tool Hire to our customers in the local area.

We provide plant and tools for hire to our trade, commercial, industrial and residential customers, fuelled by our excellent service, competitive prices and our consistent reinvestment in our hire fleet.

Our history

Husband and wife, Roy and Dorothy Hawes, set up the business in 1973 as a small haulage firm with a Ford D series Tipper, quickly expanding with a JCB and a Caterpillar excavator. Roy was hiring himself out to contractors as an owner driver.

The skip hire business started when Roy Hawes spotted an opportunity for a reliable and speedy skip hire service in the High Wycombe area. He started the skip business with one second hand skip lorry and ten 6 yard skips.

In 1980 Hawes Plant, Tool & Skip Hire opened their plant and skip delivery depot which was just outside of High Wycombe.

In 2004 Hawes Skip Hire took over one of the local skip hire companies. Since then the skip hire business has grown year on year due to our excellent customer service, fast delivery and collection, along with our consistent reinvestment in more vehicles.

Investment

We moved to our current premises in Cressex Business Park in 2012 and since then have invested heavily in the site. In 2018 we completed a £3m refurbishment of our recycling facility which has significantly increased the quantities of waste we can process and recycle.
