As a modern and innovative cycle manager, we stand for responsible and sustainable recycling management. For economical disposal services and a high level of consulting expertise. Our customers should concentrate on their core business, we take care of the disposal of the waste.

For 60 years it has been our job to dispose of waste from companies, municipalities and private individuals. Our goal: a clean and smooth recycling of recyclable materials for a healthy recycling economy. Because we want to make our contribution to a cleaner environment not only in the present, but also for the future. We work with 130 employees and 60 vehicles every day.

History

1960 | COMPANY ESTABLISHMENT

Jakob Ehgartner founds the company of the same name and starts waste disposal in the communities of Geretsried and Icking. At that time there was no obligation to connect to the garbage collection, so business people and private homeowners had to take care of the garbage disposal themselves.

1967 | MUNICIPAL DISPOSAL

Introduction of municipal waste disposal: Gradually, almost all municipalities in the Altlandkreis Wolfratshausen can be won. Each community has its own landfill at this time.

1971 | RELOCATION OF THE PREMISES

The company premises are relocated to the Geretsried Süd industrial area on Tillyweg. The usable area there was then around 10,000 m².

1978 | THE J. EHGARTNER GMBH

The Jakob Ehgartner company is transformed into today's J. Ehgartner GmbH. The foundation stone for the commercial disposal and container system, which today comprises more than 3,000 containers, has been laid. The first container vehicle is used.

1984 | TEST PLANT RECYCLING

In cooperation with the District Office, a recycling plant is being built in Wolfratshausen on 1,000 m². In this test facility, valuable materials are sorted out daily from approx. 3 tons of waste using sorting belts, magnetic separators and vibrating sieves and fed back into the economic cycle.

1988 | NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR

After the death of the company founder Jakob Ehgartner, his stepson Oskar M. Janka takes over the management of the company.

1990 | NEW BUILDING GERETSRIED

Construction of an administration building with a workshop on the adjacent property at Wallensteinstrasse 21 in Geretsried. The company's headquarters are still located there today.

1993 | CONSTRUCTION OF THE TRANSPORTATION

Construction of a large reloading hall on Tillyweg.

1997 | SECOND LOCATION

With the takeover of the Eberherr company in Forstinning, a second location is created.

1998 | CERTIFICATION

Successful certification as a waste management company in accordance with Section 52 of the KrW / Waste Act.
Expansion of our business activities in Forstinning through the takeover of Platzer and the establishment of Eberherr & Platzer.

2001 | OTHER COMPANIES

Takeover of the Oberreiter company in Töging am Inn up to and including 2008. In the same year, we take over the management of Messner in Unterdarching for three years.

2004 | GEOTHERMAL EARTH DRILLING

With the entry into the disposal of drilling sludge in geothermal earth drilling, a completely new business field opens up for us. Today we organize the entire process and project management in this area for our customers across Bavaria.

2008 | IN THE THIRD GENERATION

On May 1st, 2008 Andreas Janka joins the management. Our company is now in the third generation owner and family run. All of Eberherr & Platzer's business activities are integrated into J. Ehgartner GmbH.

2010 | 50TH ANNIVERSARY

For the 50th anniversary, a big celebration with all employees and many guests of honor is taking place on our company premises.

2016 | PAPER DISPOSAL

With the new order for paper disposal in the district of Ebersberg, a front-loading vehicle is purchased for the first time.

2017 | NEW FORSTINNING BUILDING

Completion of the new construction work on the hall destroyed by fire and installation of a fully automatic extinguishing system with infrared-based early fire detection at the Forstinning location.

2018 | EXTENSION OF THE MANAGEMENT BOARD

On May 1st, 2018, Markus Janka, the younger son, will also join the management.

Local engagement is a matter close to our hearts. As a medium-sized company, we have a special bond with our region and its people. That is why we support and promote sport, society and culture in our homeland.

Sport plays a major role here, because our private hearts are also attached to it. Team sport in particular strengthens togetherness, the feeling of togetherness. This is exactly what we want to achieve as a sponsoring partner of the local sports clubs.

But engagement is also important to us where it gets quieter. In the social area we want to help those who do good for other people every day.

For this reason, we have been supporting the senior afternoon of Geretsried Forest Summer and the work of the Young Wings Foundation in Munich, which takes care of grieving children, young people and adults, for many years .
