The plastics plant in Bremen specializes in the processing of new goods and post-industrial plastics. Since 2001, thermoplastic plastics and elastomers have been processed into compounds, granules, pellets and regrinds for further processing in industry. The plant has been part of the Bremer Hirsch Group since 2012.

The history of the Bremen plastics plant

The company Plastolen GmbH was founded in Bremen in 1979. It specialized in the production and refinement of plastic raw materials. Until 2001 the company was based in a company site on the former AG Weser site in the Bremen industrial port.

When the AG-Weser site was restructured as part of the plans for the former Space Park (today's waterfront), the Plastolen plant moved to the Bremen industrial park in Bremen-Oslebshausen.

Value Plast AG takes over the operative business and the current plastics plant in Bremen receives the function as a wage compounder with a sole client.
Both companies continue to belong to the Pongs & Zahn Group.
