In 1962, in the northern Black Hills town of Deadwood, Dale Rovere began his tire sales and retreading company. Now a third-generation family-owned business, Dale’s Tire & Retreading, Inc. consists of two retail stores and a retread plant in Rapid City, South Dakota, one retail store in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, a wholesale division.

What distinguishes Dale’s Tire from other companies is that we absolutely specialize in tires. This translates into lower overhead costs which can be passed on as savings to the customer. It also means we focus on being tire experts so the customers can trust our recommendations and workmanship.

Our retail stores are conveniently located and easily accessible for local customers and the traveling public. We pride ourselves on quality products, professional service and fair pricing. We value our customers’ time by offering convenient hours of operation as well as taking appointments when possible.

Our retread facility manufactures primarily semi-truck and commercial tires however we also specialize in industrial and off-road vehicle tires. Retread tires perform like new at a fraction of the cost. Specialized tread patterns and state-of-the-art rubber compounds stand up to the demands of the customer and help resist wear and tear. Since 1957, the Bandag retread process has kept an estimated 300 million tires out of the waste stream and saved 4 billion gallons of oil, all while helping fleet customers lower their operating costs.

Our wholesale reach extends out about 350 miles from Rapid City in most directions. We have many loyal associate dealers and jobbers, both large and small who’ve purchased tires from us since the late 1960’s and early 1970’s.
