SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Hundreds of tons of ferrous metal were confiscated for violating the export ban from Kazakhstan, reported the press service of the Mangystau Regional Prosecutor's Office.
'In order to protect economic security, the Minister of Industry and Construction has issued an order imposing a temporary ban on the export of ferrous scrap and waste (pre-used) metals outside the country. Despite the restrictions, four partnerships in the Mangystau Region violated the established procedure. At the initiative of the Mangystau Transport Prosecutor's Office, 380 tons of scrap metal were turned over to the state,' the statement said on Thursday.
It is noted that the measures taken have prevented similar violations and strengthened the rule of law, and prosecutorial authorities continue to work to implement the principle of 'Law and Order' and protect the state's economic interests.
