Radius Recycling Ferrous Sales Volume Soared in Third Quarter Fiscal 2025

The ferrous sales volumes recorded a sequential jump by 4%.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Portland, OR- headquartered Radius Recycling, Inc. reported results for the third quarter of fiscal 2025 ended May 31, 2025.

During the quarter, the firm recorded a net loss of $16 million and a loss per share from continuing operations of $0.59. Compared to the second quarter's net loss of $33 million and loss per share from continuing operations of $1.15, this represents a substantial improvement. Additionally, the business reported a third-quarter adjusted loss from continuing operations of $0.39 and adjusted EBITDA of $22 million.

The sequential improvement in performance was facilitated by stronger nonferrous and finished steel market conditions and prices, higher retail sales of car components, and a much larger sales volume for all of its products. Demand for nonferrous metals remained robust, particularly in the domestic market. According to a business news release, nonferrous sales volume also saw a noteworthy 23% growth.

There was a 4% sequential increase in ferrous sales volumes. Volumes of finished steel increased by 15% compared to the previous quarter. Quarter-over-quarter, the rolling mill utilization increased significantly from 88% to 107%.

The Board of Directors declared a cash dividend of $0.1875 per common share, which will be payable on August 4, 2025 to its shareholders of record on July 21, 2025.
