Mondi’s New Steti Paper Machine Transforms Sustainable Packaging
The machine had started operations in December last year.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): According to Mondi Group, the early production runs from the cutting-edge paper machine at its Steti mill in the Czech Republic have shown outstanding results in terms of strength, runnability, and consistent quality. In December of last year, the machine began to run.
According to a press release from the company, the new machine has assisted Mondi in meeting the growing demand for flexible packaging made of paper. In addition to assisting in the optimization of production efficiency throughout the whole kraft paper portfolio, it has reinforced the Group's vertically integrated Paper Bags business.
Kraft Paper's Chief Operating Officer, Roman Senecky, said the company is happy that the new paper plant is already in production. He praised the project team's outstanding work in making sure the machine was installed on schedule and within the allocated budget. He went on to say that the paper is of extraordinary quality.
With a comprehensive line of kraft paper products for a variety of uses, the paper machine is anticipated to further solidify Mondi's status as a pioneer in environmentally friendly packaging.
The firm aims to make all of its packaging solutions recyclable, compostable, or reusable as part of its Mondi Action Plan 2030.
