Kruger to Invest in Wayagamack Mill Innovation Project
Kruger Inc. announced major investment aimed at implementing an innovation project that will diversify production at its Wayagamack Mill in Trois-Rivieres.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): At its Wayagamack Mill in Trois-Rivieres, Kruger Inc. announced a significant investment to carry out an innovative project that will diversify output. Through the Ministere des Ressources naturelles et des Forets' Program Innovation Bois, the Government of Quebec has provided $2.5 in financing for the initiative.

In the presence of Sylvain Bricault, the general manager of the Kruger Wayagamack Mill, and Jean Boulet, the member for Trois-Rivieres and the minister of labor for Quebec, the investment proposal was made public. New, cutting-edge machinery will be installed as part of the project to increase the mill's capacity and ensure the facility's continued operation and the approximately 285 jobs it supports.
The mill's position in Quebec and North America will be strengthened by the proposed investment, which will make it possible to produce cutting-edge label paper grades. The factory will also keep producing coated paper.
In order to establish the mill as a provincial and regional leader in the constantly expanding label paper industry, Justin Paille, Senior Vice President-Manufacturing at Kruger Pulp & Paper Division, recognized the Government of Quebec's assistance for the mill's modernization.
