A man was killed in an accident at a North Wilkesboro lumber company on Monday afternoon, Oct. 7.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): A man was killed in an accident at a North Wilkesboro lumber company on Monday afternoon, Oct. 7.
In a press release sent to The Wilkes Record on Tuesday, Wilkes Sheriff's Office Major Logan Kerr stated:
'On Monday, October 7th, 2024 at 2:55 p.m., the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to High Country Lumber and Mulch at 1461Speedway Road, North Wilkesboro, in reference to a death investigation. Upon arrival deputies met with medical personell on the scene who stated that the victim, Jeremy Edward Roberts age 34 of North Wilkesboro, had been fatally injured by a piece of machienery and was deceased.'
