Garbage Removal Contracts Approved in Putnam County, NY’s Largest Town
The Carmel Town Board has approved extending garbage removal contracts for two trash haulers serving the greater Carmel-Mahopac area’s 34,000 residents.
SEATTLE (Waste Advantage): The Carmel Town Board has approved extending garbage removal contracts for two trash haulers serving the greater Carmel-Mahopac area’s 34,000 residents. Oak Ridge Waste and Recycling located in Danbury received an extension of its contract through Dec. 31, 2026, to collect waste and recycling from multiple dwellings and condominiums in the town in the amount of just under $500,000.
AAA Carting of Cortlandt Manor was awarded a bid totaling $4.5 million or $453 per single family home for the collection of refuse, garbage, recyclable materials and bulk refuse throughout the hamlets of Carmel, Mahopac and Mahopac Falls.
