SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The Pritzker family plans to acquire scrap mill company TMS International for a reported $687 million, TMS said Monday.
The deal would place the billionaire family in ownership of the largest service provider for steel mills in North America, say reports.
TMS currently operates in 12 nations. Chairman and CEO of The Pritzker Organization described TMS as “exceptional” and a company with “a proven track record of delivering value to its customers.”
Reports say the deal is worth $1 billion when debt is factored into the transaction.
