ERI Declared Appointment of David Hirschler as First Chief Sustainability Officer

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): ERI- the nation’s largest fully integrated IT and electronics asset disposition provider and hardware destruction company announced appointment of David Hirschler as the company’s first Chief Sustainability Officer. The appointment is with immediate effect.

Hirschler has been serving as Senior Director of Sustainability & Legislative Compliance at ERI. He has played a key role in helping the company establish itself as the industry leader in circular economy and ESG best practices and helping ERI’s partners and customers to achieve their own ESG goals. Prior to joining ERI, he has also served as the Director of Waste Prevention for the New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY).
While welcoming Hirschler to the new post, John Shegerian, CEO, ERI said that the title that is well-earned and fitting for someone with such a strong track record and set of skills in the space. It makes perfect sense to elevate his already critical role to the next level of stewardship to benefit ERI and the entire planet.
Meantime, Hirschler noted that it is an honor for him to accept the new leadership role at the company. It is rewarding to do work at ERI, which strives continuously to boost the transition from a linear to a circular economy, he added.
