Anne Arundel County Pushes Back Date on Plastic Bag Ban Vote
If passed, most plastic bags would be banned.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Anne Arundel County is set to vote on a bill that would ban most retailers from giving customers free plastic bags.
The proposal would be in-line with similar bans already in effect in Baltimore City and Baltimore County. The proposal has been amended several times since it was first introduced in March.
If passed, most plastic bags would be banned. There's also debate on over how much to charge for paper bags, which is currently 10 cents.
The vote is set for June 5.
