SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) Plastics Division representative has testified before the New Jersey Senate Environment and Energy Committee in support of the new legislation that aims to expand the use of recycled plastics. At the same time, he expressed concerns over certain aspects of the proposed legislation and demanded clarification on draft amendments.
Sunil Bagaria, ISRI Plastics Division Chair noted that the bill intends to promote responsible handling of all plastics at the end of their life and use of recycled plastic to manufacture new products, which in turn will contribute to protection of environment. At the same time, the legislation would also strengthen the economy by attracting new investment opportunities and creating new jobs.
