Created by the Plastic Free Foundation in Australia, the Plastic-Free July Challenge offers participants guides, tips, and training to help identify and eliminate plastics from your life.

SEATTLE (Waste Advantage): Even if you only reduce your reliance on single-use plastics this month, it’s an opportunity to reduce plastic pollution, CO2 emissions related to plastic production, and eliminate toxins from your life. Simple steps applied every day in your shopping and dining decisions can make a huge difference to the world and its environment. The plastic-free movement has helped people around the world reduce their plastic consumption by 1.8 billion lbs.

Created by the Plastic Free Foundation in Australia, the Plastic-Free July Challenge offers participants guides, tips, and training to help identify and eliminate plastics from your life.The organization, which was founded in 2011, got 250 million people involved globally in 2019, as well as delivering campaign materials to 5,000 schools and 20,000 community organizations. This is a movement with momentum. Even musician Jack Johnson got involved to reduce single-use plastic items during his concerts. You can be good at plastic elimination, better, or best, based on your preference. The point is to improve and July is the month to do it.
