GFG Alliance To Consolidate Aluminum Assets Under One Roof

ALVANCE will be the group’s first global vertical to be headquartered outside of its international headquarters in London.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): London-headquartered GFG Alliance announced creation of a new venture to consolidate its aluminium assets across the globe under a single platform. The global aluminium group will be called ALVANCE Aluminum Group (ALVANCE) and will be based in Paris, France.

ALVANCE will be the group’s first global vertical to be headquartered outside of its international headquarters in London. The new group will bring together all of its assets across the entire aluminium supply chain-from raw materials through to finished components, by taking full advantage of expansion opportunities, in order to better meet market challenges. ALVANCE is in the process of appointing a Board of Directors.

The portfolio comprises of aluminium smelters in Dunkerque, France and Fort William, Scotland. In addition, ALVANCE has reached a conditional agreement to bring Duffel, Belgium aluminium rolling facilities to its fold.

Commenting on the new development, Sanjeev Gupta, Executive Chairman, GFG Alliance noted that ALVANCE aims to establish itself as a champion for green aluminium. The company has decided to extend its carbon neutral 2030 (CN30) program to ALVANCE, in line with its commitment to promote sustainable production.

Earlier in October last year, GFG Alliance had announced its decision to consolidate its entire steel businesses under the entity ‘Liberty Steel Group’.
