Waste Management Acquires Tyler’s Sanitation

Waste Management has acquired Tyler's Sanitation, according to a corporate announcement made Dec. 7.

SEATTLE (Waste 360): Waste Management recently acquired Aiken, S.C.-based Tyler’s Sanitation, which offers residential and commercial waste services to Aiken County.

According to an Aiken Standard report, the acquisition was effective on November 30. The report also noted that Tyler’s Sanitation will continue to operate in the midlands of South Carolina and that Tyler’s Sanitation employees were transitioned to Waste Management earlier.

The acquisition was effective Nov. 30. The acquisition was mentioned last week at the Greater Aiken Chamber of Commerce's First Friday breakfast forum.

Waste Management South Atlantic Area Vice President Tracey Shrader, in a prepared statement, said the acquisition represents a 'favorable opportunity' to expand locally and serve the Aiken area.
