BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The statistics released by China Customs authorities indicate that the country’s seamless steel pipe exports rose marginally during the month of July ’14.

The seamless pipe exports by the country totaled 431,885 tons during the month, 2% higher when compared with the exports during the previous month. The country had exported 440,700 tons of pipes during June this year. On year-on-year basis, the exports during July this year were higher by 5%.

The cumulative exports during the initial seven-month period of the year totaled 3.03 million tons, down by 1% when compared with the exports during the corresponding period a year before. The exports constituted less than one-fifth of the country’s total production of seamless steel pipes during the period from January to July this year. China’s total production of seamless steel pipes amounted to 18.4 million tons, 1% higher when compared with the previous year.

Incidentally, the country’s seamless steel pipe output had touched its highest level so far this year in June ’14. The production during the month had totaled 2.846 million tons during the month.
