2nd Congress of Eurasian WEEE Solutions

It is a great pleasure to announce The 2nd Congress of Eurasian Waste Electrical Electronic Equipment Solutions taking place in March 28. – 29.2017in Moscow

(Congress Park at the Radisson Royal Hotel, 2/1 Kutuzovsky prospekt).

EAEU is the Eurasian Economic Union: Russian Federation, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia.

The EWEEES is the efficient key-platform for discussing opportunities, solutions and challenges in the EAEU as well as for maintaining and developing the important economic contacts with the authorities, producers, recyclers, scientists, associations, NGO’s and media.

2017 was declared to be the Year of Ecology in Russia, which opens a great opportunity for the fundamental steps in favour of the environment.
 
The significant part of municipal solid waste consists of old electrical and electronic goods and contains precious metals (gold, silver, copper, aluminium, iron) and toxic heavy metals.

The Extended Producer's Responsibility (EPR) for WEEE comes into effect in 2017 since producers and importers of goods are obliged to ensure fulfillment of recycling normatives and choose to recycle by their own means or pay an ecological fee in accordance with the legislation and principles of circular economy.

The EAEU is a new and fast growing recycling market and generates *1’500’000 tonn of WEEE per year with a value over 400’000’000 Euro per year (*acc. to the StEP-Initiative analysis of 2015).

The main topics  to be covered are:

Implementation of the Eco Fee, WEEE situation in the EAEU, legislation and standards, Best Available Technologies for recycling, PCB recycling, collecting, win valuables and build up the markets for recycled material.

Venue access:​

From Kievskaya Square and Evropeisky Shopping Mall, head toward Bolshaya Dorogomilovskaya Ulitsa. Cross the street and continue toward the hotel’s spire along Ukrainsky Boulevard toward Kutuzovsky Prospekt.

​From Vnukovo Airport: Take an Aeroexpress train from the airport to the Kievsky railway station (time by train is 35 minutes). Exit to the city following the direction of Kievskaya Square and Evropeisky Shopping Mall.

​From Domodedovo Airport: Take an Aeroexpress train from the airport to Paveletsky railway station (time by train is 35 minutes). At the station take Paveletskaya metro and transfer to the circle line to take a train to Kievsky station. Exit to the city following the direction of Kievskaya Square and Evropeisky Shopping Mall.

​From Sheremetyevo Airport: Take an Aeroexpress train from the airport to Belorussky railway station. (time by train is 35 minutes) At the station take Belorusskaya metro and transfer to the circle line to take a train to Kievsky station. Exit to the city following the direction of Kievskaya Square and Evropeisky Shopping Mall.
