The company BERG waste disposal is now firmly established in the waste disposal industry as a medium-sized, family-run service company.

However, company founder Wilhelm Berg laid the foundation stone for today's company in the early 1960s and thus managed to enter the waste management market.

Until a few decades ago, the disposal of waste in Germany was handled very differently than it is today. Farmers often collected waste from the surrounding area from time to time, and systematic implementation was largely lacking. Wilhelm Berg, himself deeply rooted in his home region of East Westphalia and the Herford district, wanted regular, well-organized waste disposal for his home region even then. To achieve this, he founded the BERG company in 1960. He chose today's large community of Hiddenhausen in the Herford district as the company's location.

THE FIRST RUBBER TRUCK

Shortly after starting the company, the founder Wilhelm Berg and his company were entrusted with the implementation of the first public household waste collection in the surrounding villages of the home region. A little later, the first closed household garbage truck was purchased. With this a dust-free waste disposal could then be guaranteed.

In the years that followed, the BERG company continued to develop. More employees were needed, more vehicles, skips and containers had to be procured. But the services also changed. In addition to the pure household waste collection, more and more commercial waste, for example from local retailers, was now collected and, as far as possible, even then returned to the recycling cycle.

DEVELOPMENT

Due to the positive development of the company and the order situation, the original location became increasingly cramped in the early 1980s. An expansion of the company area was necessary.

We were able to expand our business operations by gaining the location at Dieselstrasse 24 in the Hiddenhausen industrial area. The spatial resources gained for this enabled us to operate a waste disposal facility with sorting and pressing facilities, as well as a recycling center.

CERTIFICATION

In the mid-1990s, companies in the waste management sector were given the opportunity to be certified as waste management companies on a voluntary basis for the first time. A certificate is only given to particularly qualified companies that not only have technical know-how, but also meet special requirements on a personnel, organizational and technical level.

The company BERG Waste Disposal was recognized for the first time on 01.01.1996 as a waste management company and still bears the seal of quality, which is regarded as a quality feature in waste management, to this day.

LOGISTIC SOLUTIONS

In addition to our strong focus on the provision of waste disposal services in local freight transport, we have also been increasingly on the national road for several years.

Through our subsidiary BERG Logistik GmbH, we offer logistics services such as the transport of waste materials, bulk goods and the like. at the international level.

TODAY

BERG waste disposal GmbH & Co. KG is now in the third generation and is a strong, trustworthy partner and full service provider for its customers in the field of supply and disposal.

Today the company has its own waste handling, processing and sorting facilities, a comprehensive and powerful fleet of vehicles for disposal services, its own international forwarding company and an independent vehicle workshop.

Our range of services has also developed over the past few years and has been constantly adapted to customer requirements. Our services range from municipal services to commercial solutions and private customer offers.
