Copper Scrap Prices
Copper Scrap recorded weekly decline in prices by 1.04%
North America
#1 Copper Bare Bright prices witnessed modest decline over the prior week, dropping by 1.01%. #1 Copper Wire and Tubing too were down by 1.04%, from the price of $3.85 per Lb at the start of the week to end the week at $3.81 per Lb. Similarly, #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices dipped by 1.07%, falling from $3.75 per Lb to $3.71 per Lb.
USA East Coast
The prices of #1 Copper Bare Bright recorded weekly decline in prices by 1.02%, falling from $3.93 per Lb to $3.89 per Lb on ScrapMonster Index. #1 Copper Wire and Tubing, saw their prices dip from levels of $3.83 per Lb to $3.79 per Lb over the week. The prices of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing too were down by 1.07% to end the week at $3.69 per Lb.
USA Midwest
The prices of #1 Copper Bare Bright witnessed marginal decline by 1.02% over the prior week. #1 Copper Wire and Tubing too were down by 1.04%, from the price of $3.83 per Lb at the start of the week to end the week at $3.79 per Lb. Another copper scrap category to witness week-on-week dip in prices was #2 Copper Wire and Tubing, the prices of which fell from $3.73 per Lb to $3.69 per Lb over the week.
USA West Coast
The prices of #1 Copper Bare Bright recorded weekly decline in prices by 0.99%, witnessing fall from $4.03 per Lb to $3.99 per Lb on ScrapMonster Index. #1 Copper Wire and Tubing, saw their prices dip from levels of $3.93 per Lb to $3.89 over the week. The prices of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing too were down by 1.04% to end the week at $3.79 per Lb, upon comparison with the opening price of $3.83 per Lb.
China
The prices of #1 Copper Bare Bright posted weekly increase by 0.89%. #1 Copper Wire and Tubing too were up by 0.94%, rising from the price of CNY 69,000 per MT at the start of the week to CNY 69,650 per MT towards the end of the week. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing recorded weekly surge, the prices of which increased from CNY 68,000 per MT to CNY 68,650 per MT over the week.
Europe
The prices of #1 Copper Bare Bright witnessed no change from the prior week’s price of $6,000 per Tonne during the week. #1 Copper Wire and Tubing prices too were flat on Index, maintaining the previous week’s price of $5,200 per Tonne. Also, #1 Copper Wire and Tubing prices held steady on Index.
Brass Scrap Prices
Brass Scrap prices witnessed no change over the previous week.
North America
Red Brass prices recorded no variation over the previous week, maintaining its previous week’s price of $2.17 per Lb. Yellow Brass too were flat on Index. The prices of the commodity held steady at $2.02 per Lb.
USA East Coast
The prices of Red Brass reported no change upon comparison with the previous week. Also, Yellow Brass prices were flat at $2.02 per Lb over the prior week.
USA Midwest
Red Brass witnessed no variation in prices over the previous week, thus maintaining the price of $2.16 per Lb. Yellow Brass too were flat on Index. The prices of the commodity held steady at $2.01 per Lb.
USA West Coast
The prices of Red Brass, at $2.18 per Lb, reported no change upon comparison with the previous week. Also, Yellow Brass prices were flat at $2.04 per Lb over the prior week.
China
Both Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices witnessed marginal increase over the week. The prices of Red Brass surged higher from CNY 37,900 per MT to CNY 38,000 per MT. Also, Yellow Brass saw its prices increase marginally by 0.28% from CNY 35,250 per MT to CNY 35,350 per MT.
Aluminum Scrap Prices
Aluminum Scrap prices posted modest dip by 1.25% during the prior week.
North America
E.C. Aluminum Wire prices recorded modest decline over the previous week, falling by 0.99%. 6063 Extrusions too were down by 1.19%, from the price of $0.84 per Lb at the start of the week to end the week at $0.83 per Lb. Another category to witness week-on-week dip in prices was Old Cast. The prices of the commodity fell from $0.71 per Lb to $0.70 per Lb over the week. UBC prices too registered decline by 1.39% during the week.
USA East Coast
E.C. Aluminum Wire prices witnessed weekly decline in prices by 0.99%, falling from $1.01 per Lb to $1.00 per Lb. 6063 Extrusions, saw their prices dip from levels of $0.84 per Lb to $0.83 over the week. Aluminum Wire witnessed decline by 0.99% over the prior week. 6063 Extrusions too were down by 1.22%, from the price of $0.82 per Lb at the start of the week to end the week at $0.81 per Lb. Another category to witness week-on-week dip in prices was Old Cast. The prices of the commodity fell from $0.69 per Lb to $0.68 per Lb over the week. UBC prices too registered decline by 1.41% during the week.
USA West Coast

E.C. Aluminum Wire prices held steady to end the week at $18,050 per MT. 6063 Extrusions witnessed no variation in prices when compared with the previous week. The prices of Old Cast too remained flat on Index. Meantime, UBC prices edged higher marginally by CNY 50 per MT during the week, recording 0.42% increase over the week.
Europe
The prices of Old Cast held steady at $1,050 per Tonne during the week. UBC prices too were flat on Index, maintaining the previous week’s price of $1,250 per Tonne on ScrapMonster Index.
Stainless Steel Scrap Prices
The prices of Stainless Steel scrap reported week-on-week surge by 1.67%.
North America
A study on the price patterns of 304 SS Solid suggests that the prices of the commodity recorded weekly increase by 1.67%. The prices surged from $0.60 per Lb to $0.61 per Lb.
USA East Coast
The prices of 304 SS Solid edged higher by 1.67%, from the previous week price of $0.60 per Lb to $0.61 per Lb as on 1st August, 2024.
USA Midwest
304 SS Solid prices were up by 1.67% week-on-week, rising from $0.60 per Lb to $0.61 per Lb.

Also, #1 Busheling prices were unchanged over the day.

#1 HMS prices recorded no change over the prior week. The prices of the commodity held steady at $300 per MT. Shredded Auto Scrap too were stagnant, with prices reporting no change from $370 per MT during the week. HMS 80/20 prices held on to their previous week’s prices of $250 per MT. Also, #1 Busheling prices were unchanged over the day at $380 per MT.
China
#1 HMS prices witnessed no change over the prior week. The prices of the commodity stood stable at CNY 1,630 per MT.
Europe
The prices of #1 HMS recorded no variation in prices during the week, with prices holding steady at $170 per MT on ScrapMonster Index. Shredded Auto Scrap witnessed no change from the prior week’s level of $130 per MT over the week.

Lead Scrap prices held steady upon comparison with the prior week.
