SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Orange County firefighters responded to a large fire at a lumber yard on Sunday.
According to Orange County Fire Rescue, they received a call about the fire around 2:18 pm, and units arrived on scene at 2301 Silver Meteor Drive.
Initially, the fire was reported as a two-alarm situation, but it changed to a three-alarm fire.
Brandon Allen, the on-call public information officer for OCFR, said the fire was contained to the lumber yard, with no injuries reported.
Due to heavy fire and the possibility of hot spots, crews will work well into the night to put out the flames.
"The biggest challenge to fires like this is the amount of fuel we have to put out. It's 11 yards, so it's nothing but firewood, it burns really well. So, it's just getting the right amount of water, enough water on the wood pile to extinguish this fire," Allen said.
Officials do not yet know the cause of the fire.
