SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The Electronic Reusable Association (ERA) has announced major expansion of electronics recycling services in the U.S. The association aims to boost safe disposal of harmful electronics by making electronic recycling more accessible to residents across the country.
According to ERA press release, it has opened several collection and recycling locations in the U.S., including Seattle, San Jose, Boston, Houston, Chicago, New York and Vermont. These centres will accept a wide range of electronic devices including desktops, telephones, computer peripherals, laptops etc. It must be noted that ERA has depository locations in major Canadian cities including Toronto, Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver.

Communities and individuals could either drop their end-of-life electronics at donation depots or schedule a site pick up. ERA will ensure that all private, sensitive data are destructed before they are refurbished and handed over to charities in need.
ERA is a non-profit organization whose mission is to collect and repurpose old electronic devices, which are then donated to charities, non-profit organizations, care facilities and educational organizations.
