Sunnking to Host Free Electronic Recycling Events in Central NY

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster):  The Brockport, New York-based electronics recycling company, Sunnking announced a pair of free electronics recycling events in Central New York. These are the first such events to be held in the region since the coronavirus pandemic hit the country in early-March this year.

The first of the two events will be held in Batavia on Saturday, August 22, in a parking lot at the corner of West Seneca Street and Sheldon Drive in Oswego from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Pre-registration is required to attend the event, which is being sponsored by Novelis. There will be a limit of 4 CRT monitors or televisions per vehicle.

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, customers are required to pack their recyclables in the back of their vehicles, which will then be unloaded by Sunnking team members. The customers are required to drive through and stay in their vehicles, so as to ensure contactless delivery.

The second event is scheduled to take place on December 5, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the New York State Fairgrounds in Geddes.

The events are considered as a boon to customers who have been waiting eagerly to get rid of their old electronic devices. Households are reportedly piled up with such discarded items, especially after the lockdown period.

The Sunnking electronics recycling events will accept donations to help offset the costs of recycling.
