Turkey Rebar exports fall 48.3% y-o-y in Aug: TUIK

Turkey's rebar exports (including round bar) advanced by 48.3% year-on-year to 619,439 metric tons (mt) in August this year and fell by 7.3% Month-on-month, as per the latest data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).

ANKARA (Scrap Monster): Turkey's rebar exports (including round bar) advanced by 48.3% year-on-year to 619,439 metric tons (mt) in August this year and fell by 7.3% Month-on-month, as per the latest data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
The revenue generated by these exports totaled $377.4 million, rose by 31% year-on-year and down 9.4% month-on-month.
On the other hand, in the first eight months of the current year Turkey's rebar exports stood at 5.6 million mt, up 27.8% year-on-year, while the total revenue of these exports amounted to $3.6 billion, increased by 25% year-on-year.
In the January-August period this year, Turkey's rebar exports to the US, one of the largest rebar export destinations of Turkey, increased 91.9%, while rebar exports to the UAE decreased by 27.1%, both compared to the same period last year.
