South Korean steel mill's hot rolled (HR) steel production reached 1.418 million tons in May, advanced by 6.8% year-on-year.

SEOUL (Scrap Monster): South Korean steel mill's hot rolled (HR) steel production reached 1.418 million tons in May, advanced by 6.8% year-on-year.
In May, the country's sales volumes of HR steel products totaled 1.363 million tons, up by 6.7% year-on-year.
In the first five months of this year, the country's HR steel output and sales volumes amounted to 6.39 million tons and 6.772 million tons, increased by 6.7% and 1.7% year-on-year respectively.
Due to increased steel production and weak domestic demand, it's said that the South Korean steel producers have offered the cheap HR steel products to Taiwan.
